Dallas, Texas – October 06, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –
Longhorn Reels, a Texas-based custom metal fabrication company, has introduced the Stow & Go Spool Transport System, a new addition to its line of material handling equipment for the wire, cable, and industrial sectors. The system was developed to address a common challenge faced by crews that spend much of their day moving heavy reels across job sites and warehouses.
The Stow & Go is a mobile wire and cable reel cart designed for transporting reels and spools efficiently from one location to another. The system includes integrated forklift pockets, allowing crews to load and unload materials without manual lifting. Its compact footprint supports efficient storage, and its construction is intended to withstand repeated use in demanding environments.

The base model, designated LHR570, carries a rated capacity of 5,000 pounds and can be configured with different reel types in a range of dimensions. Custom reel sizes are also available, reflecting the company’s focus on application-specific equipment for electrical contractors, warehouses, and manufacturing facilities.
The design process for the new wire spool cart drew on feedback from crews who handle reels throughout their workday. The objective was a straightforward, forklift-ready system that protects the materials being transported while reducing manual handling.
“The Stow & Go came directly out of conversations with the people who move these reels every day,” said Yan, Product Development Manager at Longhorn Reels. “The focus was on a system that crews could load with a forklift, move across a facility, and rely on over the long term. Reducing manual handling while protecting the materials was the central goal throughout development.”
The introduction of the Stow & Go arrives as Longhorn Reels continues to broaden its fabrication work. The company is expanding its rack fabrication systems into emerging markets, including AI data centers and chip manufacturing facilities, applying precision laser-cut parts and certified welding to build custom racks and related structures. This work extends alongside the company’s established production of compartment reels and stands, reel systems for wire, cable, and hose, and PVC storage racks.
“Expansion into data center and chip manufacturing work reflects where demand is moving,” said Yan. “The same fabrication methods used for wire and cable handling translate directly into custom rack systems for those facilities, and that consistency is what allows the company to serve a wider set of industries.”
The Stow & Go Spool Transport System is featured in the 2026 Longhorn Reels product catalog, which includes a broad range of material storage and handling products. A Proposition 65 warning applies to consumers in the State of California.
Longhorn Reels, a division of GO Industries, has more than 46 years of manufacturing experience in the wire and cable handling industry. The company employs approximately 70 staff members across two Texas plants and uses modern fabricating equipment to maintain consistency and quality. Its product range includes light fixture carts, PVC storage racks, job boxes, wire pull boxes, coiler and take-up systems, compartment reels and stands, turn tables, roller platforms, mobile reel systems, rack systems, and custom manufacturing. All products are manufactured in the United States and built for long-term reliable service.
