Connecting the Pieces of Pain Management

Originally developed for a large national insurance carrier, the program builds on Carisk’s proprietary intake and clinical evaluation process and its experience supporting complex workers’ compensation claims.

The program was also informed by insights from Carisk’s Behavioral Health Program, launched approximately 18 months ago. Carisk found that approximately 25% of behavioral health referrals involved pain as a significant part of the injured worker’s clinical presentation, highlighting the connection between pain, behavioral health, and recovery.

The program is designed to support intervention at multiple points in the life of a claim.

Injured workers may be referred directly based on an identified clinical need.
