Classical Charter Schools and Community Partners to Host ‘Mott Haven Together’ Community Celebration

Hosted by Classical Charter Schools, the Sept. 19 event will unite Bronx families around safety, belonging and community connection.

BRONX, NY, UNITED STATES, September 1, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — In a neighborhood where nearly one in two young children lives in poverty, strong community partnerships matter more than ever. To celebrate the organizations, families, educators, and local leaders working every day to strengthen Mott Haven, Classical Charter Schools and community partners will host Mott Haven Together: A Community Celebration of Family, Culture & Connection on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at South Bronx Classical Charter School II.

Centered around the theme “Every Voice. Every Space. Every Day.”, the event will bring together families, community organizations, nonprofits, local leaders, and residents to celebrate safety, belonging, youth opportunity, and neighborhood connection while recognizing individuals and organizations making a lasting impact across Mott Haven and the Bronx.

“This event celebrates extraordinary community partners such as Bronx Connect, Mercy Center, Abraham House, Mott Haven Partnership, and of course Eastside Settlement House. These organizations, along with the unwavering support of Congress Member Ritchie Torres, Borough President Vanessa Gibson, Council Member Justin Sanchez, and Assemblywoman Amanda Septimo, have revitalized the Mott Haven community. Classical Charter Schools is proud to host this history-making event,” says Darlene Jackson, Dean of Family Engagement at Classical Charter Schools.

The free community celebration will feature family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and food and refreshments.

Mott Haven Together reflects Classical Charter Schools’ ongoing commitment to building strong partnerships with Bronx families and investing in communities beyond the classroom. Organizers hope the event serves as both a celebration of local leadership and a reminder that lasting community change happens when schools, families, nonprofits, businesses, and residents work together.
