Northeast Ohio’s trusted HVAC and plumbing company launches community fundraising campaign to support veterans in crisis

AKRON, OH, UNITED STATES, August 26, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Apollo Heating, Cooling & Plumbing, a family-owned HVAC and plumbing company that has proudly served Northeast Ohio since 2004, is throwing its full support behind K9s For Warriors, a national nonprofit dedicated to ending veteran suicide by pairing highly trained service dogs with military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and military sexual trauma (MST). Through a dedicated fundraising campaign, Apollo is calling on its customers, neighbors, and community partners across the Akron and Kent area to help fund a program that is changing and saving lives.

Supporting K9s For Warriors is a natural extension of that commitment.

The need is urgent. Roughly 20 veterans die by suicide every day in the United States, while more than 1,000 shelter dogs are euthanized in shelters daily. K9s For Warriors addresses both crises at once, rescuing dogs, training them as certified service animals, and pairing them with veterans through a three-week residential program provided at absolutely no cost to the veteran. The organization has completed over 1,000 veteran-canine pairings since its founding in 2011.

Donations through Apollo’s campaign go directly toward the K9s For Warriors program, with gift levels ranging from $25 to $1,000. Every contribution supports real, tangible needs, from training tools and veterinary care to covering transportation costs for a veteran attending the residential program.
