Joe has more than 30 years of financial services experience and will continue serving individuals, families, and professionals through Optimal Wealth Management.

Joe collaborates closely with clients to develop personalized financial strategies that address their individual circumstances and long-term objectives. His expertise includes comprehensive financial planning and portfolio management, supported by a strong commitment to client service.

Joe began his financial services career in 1994. He has held financial advisory positions with Raymond James, UBS, and NFP Securities. He began his career as a registered principal, helping oversee four Cigna Financial Advisors offices in Southern California, and subsequently served as a regional vice president for Allianz, Pacific Life, and Transamerica.

Joe holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Connecticut and completed coursework toward an MBA.

Joe serves on the Board of Directors of Project 180, a Sarasota-based nonprofit dedicated to reducing recidivism and supporting successful reintegration into society. He plays competitive USTA tennis and practices mixed martial arts. Originally from Newington, Connecticut, he lives in Sarasota and has two daughters, Layna and Nora.

Joining Joe will be his office manager, Katy Carrigan, a Sarasota native who joins Joe from Raymond James where she has been since 1999. Katy has industry experience in corporate technology, communications, business planning, and operations.
