BRIDGEPORT, CT, UNITED STATES, October 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — On Friday, October 9, Vox Church partnered with the Connecticut Department of Children and Families and the Connecticut Alliance of Foster and Adoptive Families to distribute nearly 12,000 free diapers to local foster families during a community giveback event at the Department of Children and Families office in Bridgeport.

“It takes a village to raise a child, but it takes the help of the community to build a solid foundation, security and commitment for every child that is in need,” said Leslie Reyes of the Connecticut Alliance of Foster and Adoptive Families.

This diaper distribution is one of several recent efforts by Vox Church to support Bridgeport families. Other initiatives have included a teacher supply drive for local educators, a partnership with the Bridgeport Rescue Mission to distribute more than 500 backpacks to students, a summer VBS for families of P.T. Barnum School, and service projects with Green Village Initiative.

“The heart of Vox Church is to seek the good of the city by partnering with other churches and organizations to serve the poor, help those in need, and bring new life to underserved neighborhoods,” said Hiram Orama, Bridgeport Campus Pastor at Vox Church.

Vox Church also recently announced plans to move its Bridgeport campus to the Downtown Cabaret Theatre. The new location will provide additional space for Sunday services as attendance grows and serve as a hub for continued community outreach.
