WOW! TV customers will transition to YouTube TV this fall

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Sept. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — WideOpenWest, Inc. (WOW!), a leading provider of fiber-broadband internet services and advanced connectivity solutions, today announced the next phase in its plan to transition its residential cable TV customers to YouTube TV.

WOW! will transition its residential cable TV customers in Florida to YouTube TV this fall, and the existing WOW! TV service will be discontinued on or after November 13, 2026. Other WOW! markets will follow throughout 2027.

Business customers and multi-dwelling units that have group rate agreements are not impacted by this change.

YouTube TV features more than 100 live channels with unlimited DVR space included at no extra charge. The contract-free service supports six accounts per household with three simultaneous streams, so customers can watch on multiple devices at home or on the go. Current WOW! TV customers with Internet who make the switch will receive a discount of $15 per month for one year.

Through an agreement with Google in 2023, WOW! began offering YouTube TV as its live television offering for all new TV customers. WOW! transitioned customers who were on its tv+ streaming platform earlier this year.

The transition is part of WOW!’s broadband-first strategy. By transitioning to YouTube TV, WOW! will free up spectrum on its networks for faster internet download and upload speeds. The change also addresses the rising cost of TV content and aligns with changes in the way viewers consume video content.
