Mark Cuban Foundation and NCUS TEC Bring Free AI Bootcamp to Columbus Teens

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Aug. 27, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The Mark Cuban Foundation, in partnership with NCUS TEC, will host a no-cost Artificial Intelligence Bootcamp for high school students in Columbus this fall. The program is open to students in grades 9–12 and will take place over three consecutive Saturdays – October 31st, November 7th, and November 14th. Meals, transportation assistance, and technology will be provided at no cost.
The AI Bootcamp gives underserved students hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI tools, including generative AI, and explores real-world applications in fields such as healthcare, arts, business, computer science, sports science, and career readiness. Students will also complete a capstone project under the guidance of industry mentors.

This year’s bootcamp, taking place in Columbus is hosted and staffed by NCUS TEC.
NCUS TEC is one of more than 35 host companies selected to host camps across the U.S.
“Artificial intelligence is no longer an emerging concept—it is the foundational infrastructure of the modern economy,” said Tracey Sigers, professor and director of AI and digital literacy for NCUS TEC. Through its partnership with the Mark Cuban Foundation, NCUS TEC will work with its sister organization, the Academy for Urban Scholars, a school serving students in grades 9–12 and part of the National Center for Urban Solutions, to provide the AI Bootcamp to its students.
